In December 2025, Bolt introduced the first TapBox self-service screens in the Baltics at RIX Riga Airport, which allow passengers to quickly and conveniently book a ride even without an app.
Strategic solutions for more convenient service provision
TapBox self-service screens are one of Bolt’s strategic solutions to ensure more convenient and widely available mobility at the airport. They are designed for travellers who do not have an app or internet connection. These screens help to organise the flow of passengers and reduce the congestion and confusion that can occur in airport parking areas.
Quick and easy ride booking
Bolt’s TapBox self-service screens, located at the exits of arrival halls E and C at RIX Riga Airport, provide a simple ride booking process – the passenger must specify the destination, select the ride category (e.g. Economy, Premium, Kids, etc.), enter their phone number and pay the relevant fee. After payment, a receipt is immediately printed with essential information, including the car number and estimated arrival time. Then the passenger can make their way to the designated pick-up point and wait for their ride. Payments can be made directly on the screen using a bank card.
Mobility accessibility for every passenger
Bolt’s head in Latvia, Kristīne Bezerra-Kjerulfa, emphasised that by introducing TapBox, the company wants to ensure mobility accessibility for everyone, regardless of whether the passenger has a smartphone, internet connection or mobile app. She pointed out that the airport is often where a visitor forms their first impression of a country, so it is important to provide a simple and modern way to get to their destination from the moment of arrival. Bezerra-Kjerulfa also emphasised that Riga Airport is the first in the Baltics to implement such a solution, and that this is another step in Bolt’s mission to make cities more people-friendly.
In turn, Artūrs Saveļjevs, a member of the board of RIX Riga Airport, pointed out that the airport is constantly looking for ways to improve the passenger experience, and that the TapBox self-service screens are another step that will help travellers get to their destination faster and more conveniently after their flight. He added that cooperation with Bolt aligns with the airport’s goal of providing innovative services that make the everyday lives of travellers easier.

The largest transport service provider in Europe
The expansion of cooperation between RIX Riga Airport and Bolt is only natural, as the company is the leading transport service platform in Europe, used by more than 200 million trusted customers and more than 4.5 million partner drivers and couriers in more than 50 countries and 600 cities across Europe and Africa. In addition, the company is constantly working to improve quality.
The new solution significantly improves mobility accessibility for international travellers, especially those who are coming to Latvia for the first time or do not want to search for and install a new app immediately after arrival. This is an important step for RIX Riga Airport in becoming a convenient and modern travel hub.
