The 2023 World Athletics Road Running Championships will take place in Riga at the end of September or the start of October. This will take place in a new format for the first time, and will include both the 5km and half marathon world championships, gathering world-class elite athletes and running enthusiasts from around the world.
This unique global running festival, which will crown the world mile, 5km and half marathon champions, will see tens of thousands of amateur runners from at least 100 countries competing alongside elite runners. Any recreational runner who is ready for a challenge can register for any of the official mass races of the World Championships in Riga and earn a unique medal from the World Athletics Road Running Championships.
